In June 1989, Anderson Helicopters was established to take up the opportunity to provide Agricultural and Air Transport services that were no longer being offered by Kevin's previous employer in the Westland Area.
Fortunately, as Kevin had been Pilot / Manager for the previous operator since it set up its base on the West Coast, he attracted a number of former clients to help establish his new business.
Kevin's previous flying experience had also taught him the necessity for having excellent ground backup support. Which is why Sandra Anderson became an integral part of the new business. Fletcher Anderson joined the company full time as a pilot after completing his commercial pilots licence in 2001.

Our Aircraft
airbus AS350B2 squirrel
The Airbus AS350B2 ‘Squirrel’ is capable of carrying up to 6 passengers. We have dedicated fueling & vehicle support, fire bucket, concrete buckets, and all lifting support equipment. Our B2 Squirrel is set up with port side sliding door so if perfectly suited for aerial filming and photography. A Dart External Cargo Basket provides additional cargo capacity for this aircraft. A full range of agricultural equipment can be fitted to this aircraft including Tracmap GPS, Spray Gear & Top-Dressing Buckets. The B2 has a maximum lift capacity of 1000Kg.
bell 206L3 Longranger
The Bell Longranger is capable of carrying up to 6 passengers. We have dedicated fueling & vehicle support, fire bucket, concrete buckets, and all lifting support equipment. Our Longranger has an exceptionally smooth ride with the Bell Nodal Beam Transmission Mount. A range of agricultural equipment can be fitted to this aircraft including Tracmap GPS & Top-Dressing Buckets. The L3 has a maximum lift capacity of 600Kg.
Airbus AS350B3+ squirrel
The Airbus AS350B3+ ‘Squirrel’ is capable of carrying up to 6 passengers. We have dedicated fueling & vehicle support, fire bucket, concrete buckets, wire stringing and all lifting support equipment. Our B3+ Squirrel is set up with starboard side sliding door so if perfectly suited for aerial filming and photography. A Dart External Cargo Basket provides additional cargo capacity for this aircraft. A range of agricultural equipment can be fitted to this aircraft including Tracmap GPS, Top-Dressing Buckets. The B3+ has a maximum lift capacity of 1250Kg.
Robinson R44 Raven II
The Robinson R44 is capable of carrying up to 3 Passengers. Cargo pods for both sides of the aircraft can be fitted to increase capacity for gear. The R44 is ideal for small hunting & tramping parties & can be often seen flying kayakers into our popular West Coast rivers. A range of agricultural equipment can be fitted to this aircraft including Tracmap GPS, Spray Gear & Top-Dressing Buckets. The maximum lift capacity for the R44 is 350Kg.
